Joram Story
Joram follows Dasru, a migrant worker who leaves his tribal home in Jharkhand in search of a better life in Mumbai. Living in difficult conditions with his wife and infant daughter, he becomes caught in a dangerous conflict involving political interests and his troubled past.
After a brutal incident destroys his family’s fragile stability, Dasru flees with his baby daughter, Joram. He is pursued by Ratnakar Bagul, a police officer whose investigation gradually reveals the wider forces shaping the tragedy.
As the chase moves between Mumbai and Jharkhand, Dasru must protect his child while confronting the consequences of displacement, exploitation and violence. The film also explores the grief and anger of people whose lives have been damaged by political power and development projects.
Joram is more than a conventional chase thriller. Its emotional core is a father’s struggle to keep his daughter safe in a world where the vulnerable often have little control over their own lives.
